Nottingham Forest boss Nuno is delighted with his fullback options.
Nuno started Gonzalo Montiel ahead of Neco Williams for victory over Manchester United.
He explained: “He is doing well. I said on the first day I arrived here that it is an open door for everybody.
“He took his chance. He played well at St James' Park.
“The fitness level is not yet what I think it can be. He came off, but he came off because he didn't have anything more to give. He gave everything. That is what we want from all the players.
“Even though he is not at his highest level in terms of fitness, he is an experienced player. He is a world champion, so we have huge respect for him.
“But Neco (Williams) did very well in the first game. And it was fantastic what Neco did in the last minutes, the way he defended (Alejandro) Garnacho in a one-v-one situation.
“This is a team. It doesn't matter who starts, it is knowing that everybody must help in every moment."
