QPR defender Osman Kakay has urged fans to stick with them as they push to move away from the dropzone.

The R's have lost Michal Beale to Rangers this season, while also have seen his replacement, Neil Critchley sacked. With Gareth Ainsworth now in charge, there's hope they can move away from the bottom three.

Asked if he had a message for QPR fans in the final stretch of the season, Kakay urged them to stick with the players.

Speaking on behalf of CopyBet, Kakay told Tribalfootball.com: "We can understand their frustrations. But the team and the club as a whole are trying to do our best and hopefully produce the performances which get the results.

"I just want them to stick with us and we'll get through this."

On why this season has spiraled, Kakay continued: "It's hard to say what actually happened. But football can change just like that. We were top of the league but the consistency of performance may not have been there. So that's obviously impacted our results.

"We've been unlucky at times as well. We've played some really good football in some games and not got the right results. When you are losing you lack a bit of confidence. But I think we just need to realise that we're actually a very good team and we have been at the top for a reason."
