Prade admits mixed emotions as Fiorentina draw with 9-man Roma

Fiorentina sports chief Daniele Prade is confident about their progress this season.

Prade was speaking after their 1-1 draw with Roma.

He said: "For my part, there is regret. We had to win the match, we put in a great performance and conceded a goal thanks to an incredible play by (Paulo) Dybala. Then we always played the game, and with a double numerical superiority we had to attack the match, even if there were perhaps two and a half minutes of injury time.

"It was a beautiful Fiorentina, compact and capable of suffering. Therefore we take the point, but with regret."

Pradè continued: “We are these against everyone. As a team, Roma is second only to Inter, they have very important players who know how to interpret every match, the coach is top notch. Doing a performance like this here is pride.

"You leave the stadium having performed well, after conceding only one goal. We could have scored in the first half with (M'Bala) Nzola, with Jack (Bonaventura). Very good fourth in scoring. The positive energy is there, let's go to Budapest to play for the first point. Let's not forget that we are coming off an important tour de force."
