PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi still has hopes of Kylian Mbappe staying and signing a new contract.

The France international comes off contract at the end of the season.

Al-Khelaifi said: "Kylian is the best in the world, without a doubt. He's great. He has positive effects for our young people and we are clear that we build our future with him."

Al Khelaifi also spoke about the statement from Real Madrid denying contact with Mbappe's camp.

He said, "I have not seen the Madrid statement or read it. We are only interested in our work and not what others do.

"Kylian is a player who is in impressive shape and continues to demonstrate every week. He is the best player in the world and there is nothing more to say."
