QPR ace Ilias Chair has detailed how he received a masterclass from Real Madrid great Luka Modric during the World Cup.
Chair was part of Morocco's exciting run to the semifinals of Qatar 2022 and started the third-place playoff against Modric's Croatia.
While the Africans ended up on the losing side, Chair says he treasured his time on the pitch with Modric and revealed how much he learned from going head-to-head with the Ballon d'Or winner.
On behalf of CopyBet, Chair recalled to Tribalfootball.com: "He was always a player that I looked up to. An unbelievable player.
"It was a dream come true and I loved every second of it. I loved everything and tried to learn as much as possible."
Asked to go into detail, Chair continued: "The tempo. How he controlled the tempo of the game. It was decided by Modric. He could up the tempo or if he decided to, he would slow it down.
"Then there was the little pockets of space he would put himself in to receive the ball and the calmness that he plays with.
"These are the things I picked up on and I'm trying to replicate and give my own twist."
