Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos was sent off in defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday.
La Real won 2-1 with Sevilla pair Ramos and Jesus Navas both seeing red.
Former Real Madrid captain was dismissed for a sliding tackle on Brais Mendez in the 88th minute. It was the 37 year-old's 29th red card in his career.
In contrast, 38 year-old Navas was sent off in a La Liga game for the first time in his career for protesting against the Ramos decision.
La Real took the lead early via an own goal from Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic, before Umar Sadiq fired in a superb effort from 25 yards.
Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri pulled one back for Sevilla through a deflected header, but it wasn't enough for the visitors.
