New Manchester United director Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants Mason Greenwood to spend the season with Getafe.
Greenwood is the subject of a £40m offer from Barcelona, while Getafe also want to sign him permanently.
However, the Daily Express says Ratcliffe doesn't want to rush a decision on the forward.
He wants him to stay with Getafe for the full loan while they take their time to make a decision on whether to bring him back.
Greenwood saw assault charges dropped in the UK at the beginning of the year and hasn't played for United since January 2022.
