Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde says he'd repeat his foul in the 2020 Spanish Super Cup final.
Valverde took out Alvaro Morata in a one-on-one with Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the 115th minute, seeing red - but also allowing Real to win the final.
He insisted ahead of tonight's semifinal against Atletico, "Sure, I would (do it again). As long as it's for the team. If we are losing 3-0, it makes no sense. In that final we were playing the game, it was very close. If we went with that result, I would do it again. For the team, for my values.
"You always have to leave everything for the team.
"For me it is very nice to play these games. In Madrid the best thing is to compete against the best and Atlético is the best on a world level. Starting with tomorrow, we know that we are fighting for a title. The Cup and League will also be important and will determine if we want to fight for all the titles.
"We want to show the fans that we are going to fight for all the titles."
On his first Super Cup title, Valverde added: "I remember what that Super Cup was like, my first. It was magnificent to win another title with Real Madrid and to be able to enjoy it with the team and family, it was something very special.
"I would love to be able to win another one because this team demands to win titles."
