Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Oyarzabal insists they can be proud going into the second-half of the season.
As captain Oyarzabal points out, La Real are still alive in all three competitions - LaLiga, Champions League and Copa del Rey.
He told Radio Marca: "Obviously we would all have liked to have collected more points in the last games, especially in those in which we had a chance to get more points, but we have to give perspective to what is being done.
"If we take away the Girona thing that few people expected, if we had all asked ourselves if we agreed to be as we are now, with the Champions group stage, there would be few who would not have taken it and we would have to ask them why. We want to improve, but we have to give value to what is being done, to be alive in the three competitions.
"When you achieve objectives and year after year you improve , the level of demand increases and it is normal that from outside the team is asked for a little more, but I insist that I believe that we must be aware of what we are doing, of the years that we have been chained and make it clear that the team's mentality is to have even better years.
"I think that in general terms the year is turning out well."
