Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil was left delighted with victory at Villarreal.

La Real dominated for their impressive 3-0 win.

Imanol began his presser stating: "This victory is for Aitor Zabaleta and his family, 25 years have passed since that tragic event, but it is not forgotten. Yesterday you already saw the response of all the fans in San Sebastián and today the staff, I'm sure Aitor will have enjoyed it."

On the match, the coach said: "There is no easy game, even if you win 0-3 or 0-4, and even more so having a Villarreal in front of you with the quality they have and with the coach they have. We had to do a great defensive job in the first half, having to change some things, also in attack, which have helped us be more successful than them and surely that is why we won the game.

"Villarreal is a great team. We knew that we had to adjust very well so that they did not create danger. At first it was difficult for us, but we adjusted the pressure and we were very good, stealing quite a few balls. Against these teams with a top level, either you are daring and apply great pressure, or you cannot overcome them and we have done so until we had the strength. That's why in the second half we gave them the ball and waited for them."
