Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba may have unknowingly taken a medication in the US which led to his failed doping test.
Pogba has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for testosterone.
La Gazzetta dello Sport says the positive test came from a medication he acquired in the United States.
Pogba had gained access to the drug through a friend of his from outside Juventus and supposedly ingested it without knowing the consequences it could have in an anti-doping test.
The Frenchman has this week confirmed to Juventus management that he had not agreed to take these substances with the club's medical team, as such the club was unaware of his decision to take the medication.
