French pundit Daniel Riolo has questioned whether Real Madrid will push through a Bosman deal for Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe.
Off contract in June, Mbappe continues to be linked with Real for next season.
But outspoken Riolo said on After-Foot: “I've talked about this before, but I'm becoming more and more convinced. The story with Real Madrid was very clear and well written, but I think the book has been thrown in the trash.
"I can't believe he's going to play there. Because I put myself in Real Madrid's shoes and I tell myself that it doesn't make any sense to take him taking into account the squad I have and that it would be better to go for (Erling) Haaland.
"I imagine them going after Haaland.
“That doesn't mean that Mbappé, by not going to Real Madrid, won't leave because there are other clubs he could go to. But at the moment I don't think he knows himself and anything is possible."
