Paul Scholes has taken a swipe at former Manchester United teammate Jesse Lingard.

The midfielder remains a free agent after his release by Nottingham Forest last summer.

Lingard has been posting vanity pics of himself working out in the gym, which has attracted a response from Scholes.

Reacting to one snap, Scholes scoffed: “Are you still going to suffer c*** in the gym or are you going to start playing football?"

This week, it emerged Lingard has offered himself to Barcelona.
