Free agent Sergio Ramos is in advanced talks to re-sign with Sevilla.

After very public denials made by president Pepe Castro and coach Jose Luis Mendilibar, TMW reports Spanish media sources are stating Ramos is now on the brink of a return.

Al-Ittihad made progress with Ramos over the weekend, but the veteran is now ready to commit to Sevilla.

The former Real Madrid captain began his career with Sevilla before leaving Los Merengues in 2005.

Ramos has been a free agent since leaving PSG at the end of last season.
