Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou says he will announce his future imminently.

Reports emerged before the Intercontinental play-off with Honduras, which Australian won 3-1 on Wednesday night, that Postecoglou would quit the job regardless of whether Australia won the tie.

After the resounding victory, Postecoglou was asked how much time he would give himself to process the win and work out what he would do in the future.

"It wont take too long," said Postecoglou.

"I'll sit down with the powers that be. Obviously it's important that the planning goes ahead, the draws not far away and there's all sorts of things to do.

"It won't take too long, but like i said I'm going to make sure i enjoy this first."
