Spain coach Luis de la Fuente is delighted with the form of Manchester City midfielder Rodri.

Many regard Rodri as the best defensive midfielder in the world, though others say Real Madrid veteran Luka Modric maintains the mantle.

De le Fuente was asked for a comparison and said: "Rodri and Modric? It is very subjective, they seem to me two out of the world.

"For me Rodri is the best midfielder in the world, I've been saying this since I became the coach.

"Modric is a world-class player."
