Manchester City Under-18s goalkeeper Spike Brits is delighted with his first months with the club.

Brits arrived in the summer from AFC Wimbledon.

Ahead of facing Manchester United this weekend, Brits told the club's website: “I think there is a sense of excitement around the team and we can't wait to get out there.

“It's a derby and it's a big game, the two title contenders, so I think it will be a good game.

“I can't wait, it's a big derby with a lot of history and I'm very excited.

“I think if we get the win this weekend there will be a lot of pressure on United and things could change quickly [in the league standings]."
