Spurs, Liverpool learn of Itakura buyout clause

Tottenham know they can sign Borussia Monchengladbach defender Ko Itakura for a cut-price fee.

Itakura, 26, has a contract with Gladbach to 2026, which carries a buyout clause.

Sky Deutschland says the option will be valid from this summer and amounts to between €10-15m.

In recent weeks, interest in Itakura has intensified.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Napoli have all been linked with the Japan international, who was brought to Europe by Manchester City.

At Gladbach, on the other hand, they are currently trying to extend his contract and rewrite his clause.
