Tottenham have recalled Alfie Devine from his loan with Port Vale.

The decision is a surprise given the midfielder's impact with Port Vale.

Whether it is because he is to be sent on a new loan or to stay with Tottenham is not yet known.

Devine has previously made two first-team appearances for Spurs and during his loan spell in League One at Port Vale, he made 26 appearances and scored three goals.
