Valencia attacker Sergi Canos was happy scoring in Sunday's Copa del Rey win against Cartagena.
The former Brentford ace joined Los Che earlier this season.
Canos said: "It's very important. It's always nice to score and the way it happened allowed us to start turning the scoreline around. We have to keep going. I have always had confidence in myself. It was a great goal and I'm very happy to have helped the team. I was at Brentford for 7 years and the coach there (Thomas Frank) wouldn't let me shoot from outside the box.
"I'm in the form where, since I have the freedom to play and Baraja and Chema reiterate that I should try from outside the area because they think I have a good shot, I am doing that. I'm very happy that things are working out for me and I will continue trying because I believe in myself a lot."
He added: “All the goals are dedicated to my mother. It's been 11 months since she passed away. I also dedicate it to the fans, who have been spectacular and have made us have that extra strength to turn the scoreline around."
