Brighton new boy Valentin Barco has spoken to Facundo Buonanotte ahead of joining up with the club.

The South American is set for a move to England from Boca Juniors in the coming months, as he prepares to play in the Olympic qualifying tournament for Argentina's u23s.

Asked by ESPN South America about his future, he stated: "I'm already a Brighton player.

“It's a totally different kind of football than here. I'll have to adapt, I hope it's quick."

"I didn't have the opportunity to speak with the coach.

“I did speak with Facu who is there."
