Van de Beek: De Ligt convinced me about Eintracht Frankfurt move

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has explained his decision to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

Van de Beek has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on-loan to the end of the season.

He told BILD: "Before signing the contract I spoke with Krosche (club sporting director, Markus) and Toppmoller (coach, Dino) and the conversations I had were excellent. This was the most important thing for me. We talked about the club and the coach's game idea. The sensations were immediately positive.

"I have always followed the Bundesliga, in particular when some of my compatriots such as Arjen Robben, Mark van Bommel and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar were protagonists. Players who were a source of inspiration as well as role models for me.

"Furthermore, I must admit that I also spoke with Matthijs de Ligt about the German championship and he only told me positive things."
