Barcelona coach Xavi says their Spanish Super Cup semifinal win against Osasuna was deserved.
Barca won 2-0 in Riyadh thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski and Lamal Yamal. The victory sets up a final against Real Madrid.
Xavi said, "The game has been in fits and starts. Today was difficult. They close very well, they are one of the best teams defensively. We knew it wasn't going to be comfortable.
"Osasuna must be congratulated. In general terms, we played a sober game. We have dominated, we have had control. We have generated more than usual, but we could have sentenced earlier.
"We are happy, we are in another final, in another Clásico. Now, enjoy the final and compete. It is not a brilliant match, but it is sober and good. It is deserved that we are in the final.
"It will give us morale and confidence for Sunday."
On Lamine Yamal, he said: "With the ball he does almost everything well, he does everything with sense... the shame is that he is 16 years old. But he is called to be very important and make a difference. He has been very good, beyond the goal.
"We are seeing an extraordinary talent."
On how they will beat Real Madrid, Xavi added: "Our methodology, game model, the block... the example is last year. We were better. Also in LaLiga we played a good game until the 60th minute. We have to take the ball away from Real Madrid. You must see our DNA.
"We are extra motivated."
