Charles de Ketelaere says Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has helped rebuild his confidence this season.
After a tough first season in Italy last term with AC Milan, the Belgium attacker has thrived this campaign at La Dea under Gasperini.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Have I ever doubted myself in the difficult moments of the past months? I would be telling a lie by answering no. But then it is work that leads me not to doubt and to be calm, as I said before. It helped me not to lose confidence in myself.
On Gasperini's influence, he said: "With his technical and tactical advice he evolved my way of seeing football.
"He told me straight away: 'On the pitch you have to be a protagonist. Whoever scores or assists is certainly one, but you can also be one with good pressing, playing well as an attacker'."
